Dr. Andrew Ray
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Andrew Ray is excited to be back in Arizona and practice oral and maxillofacial surgery only a couple miles from where his family had a farm dating back to 1915. Dr. Ray started his education at Brigham Young University where he graduated Cum Laude. After completion of his bachelor’s degree, he pursued a dental education at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There he graduated with a DDS Magna Cum Laude. He spent a year at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas where he completed an internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Here he received outstanding training by notable authors in the fields of maxillofacial trauma and corrective jaw surgery. He was then accepted to the post-graduate residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky. While there, Dr. Ray trained in the full scope of the specialty, with particular emphasis on dental extractions, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, and contemporary dental implant surgery using 3-D imaging technology. In 2014 he graduated with an MD with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Ray then completed a year of general surgery training in the Department of Surgery and UK Chandler Medical center. He holds both medical and dental qualifications and is part of the medical staff at Mercy Gilbert Hospital. Outside of his profession, Dr. Ray enjoys spending free time with his wife and children. Together they enjoy riding off-road, hiking, and camping.
