Dr. Mark Beehner
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Mark Beehner and his wife, Judy, a healthcare consultant, relocated from, Illinois and are enjoying the sunny Arizona climate. He and his wife enjoy traveling, bicycling and live theatre.
Dr. Mark Beehner is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He practices all aspects of the specialty including dental extractions, removal of wisdom teeth, dental implant placement, bone grafting, treatment of traumatic injuries, jaw reconstruction, pathology evaluation and treatment, temporomandibular joint dysfunction evaluation and treatment, and much more. He sees patients of all ages: pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Dr. Beehner sees patients with any past medical conditions and plans treatment based on the individual’s patient-specific background and needs. He is adept at listening to patient concerns to try to provide care for each patient in a realistic and caring manner.
Dr. Beehner attended Loyola University of Chicago where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended Loyola University School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree cum laude. He did a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Scott air Force Base. Dr. Beehner completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He received Board Certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 1986. He earned his Medical Degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and then completed an internship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Beehner was on the training staff at Washington University School of Medicine for twenty-five years prior to joining Dental Specialty Associates. Dr. Beehner’s other passion, in addition to the practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is teaching.
Dr. Beehner is a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force Dental Corp where he spent nine years on active duty and twenty-seven years as a Reserve Officer.
He is a current member in the American Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, the American Cleft Palate/Cranofacial Association, state and local dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery societies.
