Bone Grafting

A bone graft may be necessary to protect the future of the teeth and gums when bone density drops below a certain level. Bone grafts can be taken from the patient, from another human (usually a cadaver) or an animal source.

Sinus Augmentation or Sinus “Lift”

Bone grafting procedures that are done within the upper portion of your mouth are referred to as sinus lifts or augmentations. This is because the sinus cavities are located next to the areas where the oral surgeon will be working.

Ridge Augmentation

If you are one of the many people with at least one missing tooth, you may require ridge augmentation. During this procedure, an oral surgeon will reshape the area where the natural tooth once sat, creating a more attractive and healthy contour.

Tooth Extractions
